What it is

Pure Mode locks down the client-side settings that would normally let a player see or do more than everyone else — extended draw distance mods, unlocked FOV exploits, texture changes that remove foliage or fog, and similar edges. Everyone in Nightforge is running the same baseline.

Why it exists

Most FiveM servers let client-side mods run unchecked, which quietly splits the playerbase into two groups: people who've tuned their game for an advantage, and people who haven't. Pure Mode closes that gap. It's not an anti-cheat replacement — it's a baseline that makes anti-cheat's job smaller by removing an entire category of grey-area modification before it becomes a problem.

What changes

Without Pure Mode

  • Draw distance and fog can be modified to see further than intended
  • Foliage and cover-blocking textures can be stripped
  • FOV and visual clarity vary player to player
  • Some visual exploits go undetected until reported

With Pure Mode

  • Draw distance and fog are locked to server-defined values
  • Foliage, cover, and environmental textures stay intact
  • Every player sees the same field of view and visual range
  • The category of exploit is removed, not just monitored
